King of the Fields

Price: $150.00

Isaac Bashevis Singer migrated from Poland to America in 1935. A great writer by any standards he was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1978. The Nobel commitee cited his "impassioned narrative art which, with roots in a Polish-Jewish cultural tradition, brings universal human conditions to life". This Limited edition which was published by Farrar Strauss Giroux in 1988 is in near fine condition. The Limited was published in an edition of 300 signed and numbered copies of which this copy is #239. The beautifully bound dark blue volume is housed in a Fine light blue slipcase that shows some minor marking to the slipcase spine. The label on the book has the tiniest of wear but it is complete and the wear does not detract. The internals are beautiful and pristine. This novel is a gripping story that deals with a Polish-Jewish family in Europe. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
