This book Extrapolates the philosophy of Confucius and applies it to modern times. It was Written by a former Mathematics teacher with parents as well as their children in mind. It was Signed and dated for me by the author at the Fort Worth bookshow in October 2005. This volume is in as new condition and it is in a trade paperback (large) format. Readable and informative this volume can be a life-changing experience. The author says in his preface that "In the dawn of a new millenium, we stand at a fork in the road. One path leads to conflict and turmoil and has already destroyed the World Trade Towers and bankrupted many corporations, Enron and Worldcom being just two of many examples. The other path leads to tolerance, peace, and prosperity. Humanity will face either its brightest or darkest days in the years to come. Peace and prosperity seems the obvious choice". He goes on to say that with the world becoming more interconnected every day that peace and prosperity seem out out of reach and that diversity without tolerance leads to strife. Fortunately a solution is found from the Far East. This book gives us a blueprint for examining our lives in ways that will empower us like never before. Lessons on life and ethics that are spiritual but not religious. The lessons are respectful of all religious belief and thus are accessible to people of all persuasions. At the end of part one there is a twenty-eight day study to begin the process of self-transformation. Part two of the book is "The Analects of Confucius" updated for the third millenium. This is a book of self-discovery and an important philosophical contribution to our times. We are pleased to send pictures on request.
